In 2009, I founded an online retail platform to offer my customers a wide range of interesting and innovative products. With Girafus, products that were hardly or not at all available on the German market were made accessible. The starting signal for the foundation was a playground experience. As a father of 3 children, I could observe how desperate parents called out to their missing toddlers. So I also started looking for a product that would solve this problem. I found what I was looking for and came across the Kinderfinder. A short time later, it was added to our product range and immediately met with a great response from our customers.

The sales success brought a change of perspective to the company. The goal is not only finding innovative products that solve a practical problem but also developing them became the focus.

For this purpose, the sole proprietorship was converted into an entrepreneurial company in 2014 to be able to act more flexibly on the market: 7burg UG (haftungsbeschränkt) now not only deals with sales but also dedicates itself to the development and production of its product lines under the brand name: Girafus. In doing so, good business relations with our partners in Asia lead to fast, cost-effective realizations.
